Direct Client-to-S3 Backup & Disaster Recovery
Protects against hardware failure, laptop damage, or accidental deletions with a direct client-to-storage snapshot engine. Backups are transmitted directly from your device to your private AWS S3, Cloudflare R2, MinIO, Wasabi, or Backblaze B2 bucket over HTTPS without intermediary proxy servers. Sensitive API keys and S3 secrets are automatically stripped before upload.

RoleTect's Tauri v2 + Rust binary uses negligible RAM (~50–100MB). Runs smoothly on virtually any device, including 2GB RAM Linux laptops, budget PCs, or ultrabooks using your own API keys.
High-Spec Workstations
Running 8B–70B open weights on-device requires substantial hardware. Not suitable for standard ultrabooks. Requires a powerful machine with high RAM and GPU/Apple Silicon.
Zero 5GB TeX Live Bloat • < 50MB Binary
No 5GB+ TeX Live or MacTeX installation needed. The standalone < 50MB binary embeds Tectonic. When compiling an uncached template package for the first time, an internet connection is used to fetch and cache it locally on disk.
